Co-op

What is Co-Op?

Co-Op is a cooperative effort by families within our group for the educational and social benefit of our students. It is a place where adults can pass on their knowledge and talents to eager students just waiting to absorb it all.

When is Co-Op?

We are offering two co-ops for the 2024-2025 school year.  We always meet on Tuesday's from 9:30 to 12:10. Teens now have an option to register for our Teen Social Hour where they can enjoy lunch together and socialize with their peers. For the teens that sign up for this extended time, dismissal will be 1:45.  Many families also enjoy going to Tyndall Park following co-op.
The spring session is 9 weeks.  It begins March 4th, with a break during the week of April 1st,  and ends May 6th.

Where is it held?

Calvary Baptist Church
612 Valley View Road

How much does this cost?

Co-op has a family fee of $12 (this covers the cost of the facility plus administration supplies). There is also the cost of classes. This can vary greatly based on which classes are being offered and what your child chooses. We try to keep costs as low as possible. Our teachers let us know their fees based on the materials they need to purchase.

EFA funds through Arkansas Department of Education:  We are not service providers through ADE, so we cannot pull funds directly from EFA funds, nor will this be eligible as a reimbursable expense, per the ADE.

How do I get involved?

Please join us for planning meetings which are posted on the website calendar.  We always need teachers to volunteer. If you do not wish to teach, we will assign you to assist a teacher.

How do I sign up?

  1. Join Benton Homeschool Corporation (BHC).
  2. Sign the Statement of Faith
  3. Sign your release form.
  4. Register for classes here.
